- There are different types of automatic sealing machines that can be used when sealing sacks, the type of sealing depends on the filling compound and shape of the paper sack's/bags. The Meypack Series FTS packaging machine FTS 600 gives a siftproof closure to paper sacks/bags. The FTS-HD... closes paper sacks and seals the plastic inner liner with a hermetic heat seal. Due to the double folding, an efficient heat seal protection is achieved. The FTS-closure (Fold, Tape, Seal) is state of the art in sack closing and meets today's user requirements. The optional tear strip or "strippable sack" versions allow end user and environmentally friendly packaging. The FTS-closure can be opened without tools and damage of the sack. Therefore contamination of the contents with shreds of paper is impossible and the sack is reclosable. Strippable sacks permit grading of the disposable sack material without any effort.
- Our Jettack heat-sealing tape is made for sealing flat-folded sacks. Various grades are available with bases paper weights of 120 g/m and 150 g/m with 30g or 45g hot melt. The 45g hot melt should be used only for printed or varnished sacks which are hard to stick.
- A new innovation combines the sealing process with the addition of a tear strip. It involves adhering a red self adhesive strip to our unreinforced Jettack tape before sealing it. It is recommended that the 1/150M or 1/150EW Jettack be used, because of the strength and ability to retain shape. Another advantage of Jettack hot melt is the relatively low sealing temperature of 90 – 110 deg C, compare to that of PE coated papers with a sealing temperature of 170degC.
