Our Soft Edge Foam Mask is the fast,easy way to mask car door's and other apertures such as bonnets & fuel lids.
No adhesive at the painting area making sure that any excess paint is absorbed into the foam. Which would otherwise result in a hard paint edge
The tape is only positioned when the doors are closed. This ensures that the correct position is achieved the first time
The position can be readjusted in between different paint applications to avoid a heavy build up in one area. This avoids the need for re-masking.
The tape can be left proud of the surface to allow protection to the panel edges from the primer travelling too far. When the primer application is finished the tape can be pushed in further to allow the next coat to cover the primer fully and not end up with primer showing through on the edges.
One size of tape can mask approximately 95% of the gaps of the car. It can even mask areas, which until now, have not been able to be masked, such as the "A" post, Flanged bonnets, Tailgates, Petrol Caps and Sunroofs.
As there is no adhesive exposed at the painting edge, no fibres are pulled from the Tack Rag which when painted often results in these becoming combined in the paint.
